Special interests: Main clinical fields are Reproductive Medicine/ Reproductive Health including Infertility, assisted reproduction and Family Planning. Her research focus is on endometrial function, embryo implantation, prevention of unsafe abortion and development of safe methods for induced abortion, misoprostol in Obstetrics and Gynecology, emergency contraception and development of new contraceptive methods.
General short summary: Kristina Gemzell Danielsson is professor and Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Health at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. She is a senior consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Karolinska University Hospital where she is also the Director for the WHO collaboration centre for Research and Research training in Human Reproduction. She is chair of FARG (SFOG's reference group on family planning) and president of the Internal scientific committee and board of ESC. She is a member of FIGO’s working group on prevention of unsafe abortion.
